These walkways took you close to the top of the waterfall, but
New Friend and I wanted to get closer. We climbed down the rocks
(in flip flops…) and slowly made our way to the waterfall.

Photo by Julie. We eventually made it about 5 feet from the waterfall (on the far
right side of the picture), but it was starting to get dark and we still had to,
you know, make our way back out of the water and hike to the car.
See more photos of the waterfalls on my Flickr.

I just love waterfalls. There's something so peaceful about them. Even the big scary ones.
ReplyDeleteI agree, really peaceful. I love being near any type of water.
DeleteI grew up in Oregon. I miss all the green. Not that it's not green here in Utah, just different.
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with Oregon on this trip! Could definitely live there. Utah was nice but we stayed in the desert so didn't see too much green!
DeleteHow beautiful. I love waterfalls and I love that you were able to experience it. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! It was definitely memorable.
DeleteI love waterfalls but I wouldn't venture on wet slippery rocks with sandals. Nice pics.
ReplyDeleteI figured if I died (and I did kind of figure I'd die), at least it'd be a beautiful, fun way to go.
DeleteI am trying to plan a visit to Oregon sometime in the next few months - I definitely want to hike here if it's not too far out of my driving range. What beautiful waterfalls!
ReplyDeleteTotally worth it! Hope you get to go.
DeleteDammit, now I want to go hiking. Except I can't, because I'm at work.
ReplyDeleteIn other news, lovely pictures!
I got your comment while I was at work too, and was going to second your desire. Except I couldn't comment, because I was at work. Double whammy.
DeleteThank you!
