Signazon Baby Banner

The greeting was so friendly and familiar that I almost thought the sponsorship email from Signazon was from someone I knew personally. The representative, Michelle, mentioned how much the office had enjoyed the post about Steve Squirrel. After being contacted by some individuals/companies who clearly have no idea what I post on my blog, this was refreshing.

Signazon offered me a free vinyl banner in return for posting an honest review on my blog. I had been thinking about what I would make to welcome a new baby into the fold, so the timing couldn't have been better. I told the rep as much, and she seemed genuinely happy for me and the family. The emails back and forth with Michelle were so casual and easy-going, and any question I had was answered promptly. I was already half in love with the company and hadn't even seen the finished product!

The site has tons of templates for any occasion you could imagine, both personal: weddings, parties, anniversaries, graduations, holidays; and professional: trade shows, retail advertising, grand openings, specials, tournaments, and more.
There were tons of options, but I wanted to draw something using decorations from the baby's room, so I spent a day designing my banner. I uploaded the Illustrator file with no problem and checked out. That was laaaaate on Thursday night. Friday morning, right after the start of business, I got an email that my job was being printed. It shipped Monday and I got it Wednesday. I thought it would take at least a week, considering production and shipping, but they exceeded my expectations.

The banner came rolled up, and the company had previously emailed suggestions about how to hang it. I love that idea because there's no paperwork to lose and look for later, just to realize it probably got recycled along with the box.

The banner is 4' by 2', lightweight but sturdy, made of smooth vinyl with silver grommets in each corner for easy hanging.

I felt bad that I got the banner so promptly but couldn't post about it - I wanted to send it on to the baby and share a picture of it hanging in the nursery. I tweeted Signazon that I loved what they had sent me, and they tweeted a personal reply, again offering congratulations! I really appreciated that they knew who I was in relation to my order, and said something more personal than a simple "thanks."

And here it is in a place of honor in the baby's room:

Everyone who has seen the banner is absolutely in love with it; now I'm trying to turn every event I know of into something that needs an awesome banner. There's more to it than that, though - Signazon also makes stickers, window clings, car magnets, yard signs, and, my favorite, oversized checks. You have no idea how tempted I am to pay my income tax with one of those big boys!

  1. Too cool! The banner is adorable. I am so tickled at the idea of walking into a facility (MLGW was the one that popped into my head, but income tax is just as humorous) with an oversized check to pay the bill. But handing it to them like they've just won the lottery - as a check of this size would OBVIOUSLY need a lot of fanfare with it. "Congratulations!!!!!!!!!"

    1. Excellent idea! Delivering it in person would be way better than trying to ship that mama.

You're right - it would need a lot of fanfare... and it doesn't have to be positive! I love the idea of going to Comcast (not that I give them ANY checks anymore): "CONGRATULATIONS on being total asshats with crappy all around service!" and seeing it on the news later.

  2. You had me at "oversized check." I am now furiously brainstorming situations in which I could use an oversized check. (Not much is coming up, sadly.)

The banner looks amazing, and I checked the website and it seems like a quite reasonable price for a real nice banner. I think I'd try to make any banner something I could use for more than one occasion, though, like something you could have on display for a while, not just one day.

    1. Ooh you could totally design a "just married" window decal for a wedding getaway car. How awesome would that be?

    2. I originally was going to do a "Welcome home baby!" type banner, but then was thinking like you - I'd rather it not just be good for one day. So this one matches the decor in the baby's room, and can be kept once baby decor is irrelevant.

  3. You're going to have a banner addiction... we'll have to have an intervention (very HIMYM) but the good news is, I'll order the intervention banner from these people, if you'd like!

But seriously, it's adorable and I'm quite envious!

    1. Haha love your idea for the intervention banner! Makes me think of your "I'm against picketing" sticker

  4. Cuteness!

Also, you may have come up with the solution to the problem that Kyle and I have been wrestling with for a while. We've always wanted one of those stick figure stickers for the back of our car, only instead of a family or whatever it would just be the two of us holding hands and flipping the bird. Doesn't exist. But if these guys make custom designs...

    1. Please lord let this company make those stickers for you!!! I HATE those window things so much, especially the ones with names under them - how creepy is that? I could totally abduct your precious little Adian or Bailey from the grocery store!

That being said, I do get a chuckle out of the few I've seen with just one girl and a dozen cats.

  6. OMG yes, Comcast would be the ultimate. I also despise them, and now that we've signed another year lease I am thinking of looking into U Verse. If we make the switch, I already have my elaborate Comcast Cancellation Plan worked out in my head.

    1. YESSSSS cancel with Comcast and blog about how you do it - I LOVE stuff like that. I've convinced 2 or 3 people to cancel or at least downgrade their service, and it's pretty much my proudest accomplishment at this point.
