Regardless, I am excited. And, instead of "resolutions" (because I know those will be forgotten by next week), I have made goals.
I know, I know. You're blown away by my genius innovative approach, thinking that changing a word will change my outlook. But I really think this is going to work. I've mapped out many goals that I want to reach, and they're not petty - they're goals that will get me somewhere if I accomplish them. Somewhere good, somewhere that will give me a lot of choice in what happens next. So that gives me the determination to reach them.
I was going to post them on here, even though I felt like that would be a bit of a goal overload with my ongoing 101 in 1001 project. Then Jessica posted something similar and included a link that got me thinking. Ok, it didn't really get me thinking, beyond "This is a great idea; I'm stealing it." It was a post by a woman who sealed her resolutions and revealed them at the end of the year.
So I stole it. I wrote out ten resolutions that are attainable, but require me to push myself, and will help me get where I really want to be in all aspects of my life. They're things I would more than likely put off if I could, but 2013 is going to be a year of action.

Finally used those cute notecards that are too tiny to actually mail.

One through ten, all sealed up.

Tucked into my 2013 planner so I don't lose them over the year.
I'm pretty pleased that I've already gotten a jump start on some of the projects I want to accomplish this year, but I'm really eager to look back this time next year and see what I've completed.

SIGH. Way to be brilliant in ways I wish I'd thought of first.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that phrase... steal like an artist? Yeah.
